3rd & 4th Grade Developmental

Our 3rd and 4th grade developmental program focuses on the fundamentals of field hockey for beginners. Players will be taught stick handling techniques and knowledge of the game in a fun and positive environment. We strive to grow the game and create a love for field hockey at all levels of our athletes.

Ages

Registration is open to players entering grades 3 and 4 for the 2025 -26 school year.

When

Season will begin August 26, 2025 and run through the first week of November.

This year we will offer practice twice a week on Tuesday and Thursdays from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm.*

In addition there will be possible scrimmages/jamborees during the season with other towns.

We will communicate practice days once we receive town approval for fields.

Where

Practices will be held at the Main Turf at Indian Ledge. Games/Scrimmages will be determined when scheduled.

Jerseys

Players will receive a practice shirt, which can be worn to practices and any games/jamborees.

Frequently Asked Questions

What equipment is required to play?

All players are required to have a field hockey stick, shin guards and mouth guard. Eye googles are not required but are recommended for this age level.

Fall 2025

This developmental Field Hockey program is open to Trumbull 3rd and 4th graders. Players will practice twice a week subject to town approval. Coach will schedule Games throughout the season with neighboring towns.
