Kindergarten-2nd Grade

Our Kindergarten-2nd grade developmental program focuses on the fundamentals of field hockey for beginners. Players will be taught stick handling techniques and knowledge of the game in a FUN and positive environment. We strive to grow the game and create a love for field hockey at all levels of our athletes.

Ages

The program is open to grades Kindergarten, First, and Second grade.

When

The season begins Thursday, August 28 and runs through the first week of November.

Practices will be Thursdays 5:00-6:00 pm.

Where

Practices will be held at the Main turf at Indian Ledge park.

Practices

Practice will be one time a week.

Practices will be coached by an experienced field hockey coach as well as TYFH/THS field hockey players.

Games

There are no games for this age group with other towns, but there will be plenty of fun at practices.

Jerseys

There is no Jersey required to purchase. Girls will be provided with a T-shirt (included in the registration fee).

Fall 2025

Fall FUN-damentals Registration is open to Trumbull Kindergarten-2nd graders. Practices will be once a week and lead by experienced coaches as well as TYFH/THS players. The focus will be on fundamentals and FUN!
